Manteo Cocktails

Here we are in beautiful downtown Manteo, NC.  The weather outside is hot and humid.  With the ocean as a backdrop and lucky pennies all over the place, we feel most fortunate to be here. One of the most memorable moments of our adventure was standing (and shivering) for hours on the Piankatank River oyster reef. Another memorable moment was the trek through the mud (and rain) at various aquatic habitats along the York River. Bill was constantly missing! He finally found his way by following the vegetation. Perhaps the best part of the "Virginia Experience" was the Yorktown Pub! The "North Carolina Experience" has been much warmer, drier, and "high tech". We are having a wonderful time! One of the highlights of this week's adventure will be seeing the moving of the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse. This event is truly history in the making!
